WhatCall
Terms of Use
Effective: 18 September 2026 ยท Last updated: 18 September 2026
Acceptance and eligibility
These terms are an agreement between you and Innovative Developers LTD (company number 09011626) for your use of WhatCall. By using the app, you agree to them. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and use telephone services where you live. If you use WhatCall for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it.
What WhatCall does
WhatCall helps you place an outgoing call using a phone number you have verified. It may try more than one connection and use the first one that answers. A call may reach voicemail, a person, an automated service or no answer; no particular outcome is promised.
WhatCall requires an internet connection, compatible iPhone, microphone access and available third-party telephone networks. It is not a replacement for your normal phone service and must not be used for emergency calls.
Licence and permitted use
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use WhatCall on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these terms and Apple's usage rules. You may use the app only for its intended purpose and in accordance with applicable law.
Your caller IDs and account
You may use only a caller ID that you own or are authorised to use and that has completed WhatCall's current verification process. We may require reverification, including after a provider change or migration. You are responsible for keeping access to your device and account secure. Do not share verification codes or try to register another person's number.
Acceptable use
You must use WhatCall lawfully and responsibly. You must not use it to:
- harass, threaten, deceive or impersonate another person;
- spoof a caller ID, evade consent requirements or conceal unlawful activity;
- make emergency, premium-rate, prohibited, bulk or automated calls;
- interfere with the app, networks or safeguards, or attempt unauthorised access;
- breach telecommunications, marketing, privacy or other laws that apply to you or the recipient.
You are responsible for the destination, timing, content and legality of each call you place. We may apply destination restrictions, rate limits and fraud controls, or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect people, networks or the service.
Credits and purchases
If WhatCall offers call credits or another paid feature, the price and amount will be shown before purchase. App purchases are processed through Apple and are also subject to the applicable Apple Media Services terms. Credits are a limited right to use eligible WhatCall services; they have no cash value, cannot be transferred and may be subject to reasonable technical or legal limits.
We charge a call only at the billable point described in the app. Network events can occasionally be delayed or disputed. Contact support with the approximate time and destination if you believe a charge is wrong. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled in accordance with Apple's process and your mandatory consumer rights. Valid balances migrated from an earlier WhatCall version may appear as an opening balance after reconciliation.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep WhatCall available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Calls depend on internet access, Apple, Cloudflare, Telnyx, carriers, destination networks and other systems outside our direct control. Destinations, features and providers may change for security, legal, technical or commercial reasons. We may update or discontinue the service, giving reasonable notice where practicable.
Third-party services and intellectual property
WhatCall relies on Apple, Cloudflare, Telnyx, carriers and destination networks, whose services and terms may also apply. Those organisations do not sponsor or endorse WhatCall merely because their services are used. The app, branding and service remain owned by Innovative Developers LTD and its licensors. You must not copy, sell, reverse engineer or redistribute them except where applicable law expressly allows it.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use WhatCall.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using WhatCall at any time and can delete your account from Settings in the app, or ask support for help. We may restrict or end access if you materially breach these terms, create risk or harm, misuse the service, fail verification, or if we are required to do so by a provider or law. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a chance to remedy the issue.
Disclaimers and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your mandatory consumer rights. Subject to that, WhatCall is provided with reasonable care but outcomes and third-party networks are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for business losses where you use a consumer service for business purposes, or for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service, providers or law changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice where a material change requires it. If you continue using WhatCall after revised terms take effect, the revised terms apply from that point, subject to your mandatory rights.
Governing law and consumer rights
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not remove mandatory protections or court rights given by the laws of your country of residence. You and we will first try to resolve a concern through support.
